There is a Mantle available to Artists. It is the Mantle of Bezalel.

This Mantle equips us with a whole spectrum of artistic gifts: painting, jewelry making, embroidery, carving, weaving, working in silver and gold, etc.

We can read about this Mantle in Exodus 35:30-35:

30 And Moses said to the children of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;

31 and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship,

32 to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze,

33 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship.

34 “And He has put in his heart the ability to teach, in him and Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

35 He has filled them with skill to do all manner of work of the engraver and the designer and the tapestry maker, in blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine linen, and of the weaver—those who do every work and those who design artistic works.

I find it fascinating that Bezalel, an artist, was the first person in the Bible to be filled with the Spirit of God. This is the honor and grace that the Lord places upon artists.

The Lord blessed me with this Mantle many years ago. I am so grateful. Because of it I flow between the many artistic gifts. The Lord is often shifting gears and I am always trying new things. I paint prophetically and, because of this Mantle, I add gold and silver leaf to many of my paintings. I also love to design clothing with beading and embroidery.

This Mantle is transferable. Just like Elijah transferred his Mantle to Elisha.

2 King 2:13

Elisha picked up the mantle that had fallen off Elijah and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan.

I release this Mantle when I teach prophetic art classes. That’s because prophetic art is “caught” and not “taught”. It’s a “flow” and not a “know”.

When we operate with the Mantle of Bezalel then the artwork is effortless. That’s because it flows out from the Spirit within us.

I believe that every artist needs this Mantle. It’s available to us all. All we need to do is humbly ask the Lord in faith.
